Professional journey

My professional journey started in marketing and event organisation, but it quickly became clear that a successful project requires more than an idea and good communication.

Events involved participant databases, statistics, websites, social media, budgets, promotional materials, cooperation with partners and many things that simply had to be well organised.

Later, loyalty programmes, systems, data, SQL, ERP and reporting became part of that mix. They were not separate from marketing — they helped me understand its operational side and see how different elements influence one another.

Today, this combination is one of my strengths: I can look at a project from the perspectives of marketing, data, technology and organisation at the same time.

My Journey

From marketing and events

Sports Infrastructure Board in Kraków

I worked in the marketing and events department, supporting sports events including the Cracovia Marathon.

My responsibilities included communication, websites, social media, promotional materials, participant databases, statistics and analysis.

For events involving thousands of participants, marketing also meant strong organisation, working with data and keeping track of many elements at once. This was where I learned to look at a project more broadly than simply from the perspective of its promotion.

Marketing from an agency perspective

My next step was working at a marketing agency, where I supported promotional projects for nationwide brands.

It was a role close to clients, campaigns, production, suppliers, proposals and budgets. I coordinated activities, prepared proposals, worked with clients and suppliers, and made sure projects moved smoothly from idea to execution.

This experience added a business and project perspective to my marketing background.

Marketing + technology + data

Comarch

While working on loyalty programmes for international clients, I combined my previous marketing experience with technology.

I worked with systems, customer data, points and rewards, reporting and calculation processes, while also delivering training and supporting clients in using the solutions.

This was an important stage for me because I saw how marketing concepts translate into concrete processes, data and working systems.

Data, ERP and the operational side of a business

Comarch Optima

In my next role, I developed the analytical and technological side of my experience significantly.

I worked with ERP administration, databases and SQL, reporting, data quality control and warehouse processes, while also supporting the company's marketing, sales and website activities.

I created more than 250 reports, worked with data from four warehouses, automated data checks and contributed to improving systems and processes.

This experience taught me that “marketing” and “keeping a business running” are not as far apart as they might seem. Good marketing also needs data, budgets, processes, tools and efficient organisation.

Today: bringing different elements together

Polish Organization in Lucern - Klubik Orzełki

At Klubik Orzełki, these different areas of experience have come together in one project.

I work on the website, social media, communication, graphic design, event organisation, cooperation with partners and sponsors, and the organisation's digital infrastructure.

In practice, this includes more than 100 graphic materials and publications per year, as well as more than 20 events and organisational activities.

It is also a place where I make very practical use of one of the skills I have developed over the years: looking for simple and sensible solutions instead of adding unnecessary costs and complexity.

If something can be done well using an existing tool, automation or a free solution, I first explore that option.

What has this journey led to?

Looking back at my career, I no longer see a collection of unrelated positions, but different elements of the same broader area.

Marketing provides direction.
Data helps make decisions.
Technology provides the tools.
Organisation brings everything together.

On top of that come communication, creativity, budgets, processes and the everyday challenge of finding ways to do things efficiently, sensibly and without unnecessary complexity.

That is why I feel most comfortable in projects where I can connect different areas, bring structure to them and turn ideas into something that works.

I am not a specialist in one narrow area of marketing, nor am I someone focused on business management as such. My strength lies in seeing the broader picture of a business's marketing, digital, analytical and organisational infrastructure.

And this is the perspective I want to continue developing.
